LinkedIn like post API: engage before you pitch
Swarmhit's LinkedIn like post API likes the most recent post of a lead from a connected sender, with one POST to /accounts/{id}/post-likes. You pass the lead's profile URL and Swarmhit finds the latest post. If the lead has not posted recently, the API returns a 422 instead of liking something stale. Likes count against a daily cap per sender.

- You target the lead, not a post: Swarmhit resolves the lead's most recent post and likes it. The action record keeps the postUrl that was liked.
- When the lead has no recent post, the call fails with 422, so your code can skip to the next touch.
- Every like is logged as a direct action with type post_like, readable through GET /accounts/{id}/actions.
As a campaign step
The same action runs inside sequences as the like_post step: one POST /campaigns sets up the whole sequence, and the engine schedules each step per sender and mailbox, inside the sending window, with rotation across senders.
- like_post takes no configuration. It works well between a visit and an invitation, or between two messages, as a reminder that costs nothing. A lead added by email alone passes it without stopping.
Limits and safety
- Likes count against the sender's daily post-like cap; past it, the API answers 429 with details { limit, used, scope, resetAt }.
- Every sender runs on its own dedicated proxy with managed warmup and health checks, behind 250+ safeguards monitored 24/7.
LinkedIn senders cost $16.90 a month each for the first 50, tiered down to $6.90, with no minimum. See pricing.
Webhooks
Direct calls answer synchronously with the action record. In campaigns, lead.status_changed fires when a lead reaches a resting status.

LinkedIn like post API, answered
Which post does the LinkedIn like post API like?
The lead's most recent post. You send the profile URL, Swarmhit finds the latest post and records its URL on the action. If there is no recent post, the call returns 422 rather than liking an old one.
Why like a lead's post in an outreach sequence?
It is a low-pressure touch: the lead gets a notification with the sender's name before any pitch. Combined with a profile visit and a follow, it makes the invitation that comes next feel familiar instead of cold.
Can the API comment on posts too?
Yes. POST /accounts/{id}/post-comments comments on the latest post with the exact text you send, and campaign comment steps can write the comment with AI, with an optional approval queue before anything is posted.
